untitled peace

i tried to capture peace
in the stillness of this place
and what happened
only resulted in an impression

there's something about war
that nations can't learn from
or that both victors and victims
are not telling
that's why it just goes on
in every generation

maybe the answers to all questions of war
are locked in the nightmares
of victims and survivors
and honed to a sin
among the instigators

did john lennon know of this?
i can only imagine...
